Ear candling is an alternative approach for removing earwax. It involves placing a lit, hollow candle in your ear to create a low-level vacuum that softens earwax and pulls it out, along with other impurities.
Wood therapy is a vigorous massage technique that utilizes wooden, handheld tools, such as rolling pins and vacuum-suction cups. Purportedly, wood therapy is centuries old and originated in Asia.
Lymphatic massage, sometimes called manual lymphatic drainage, is a specialized type of medical massage. It can help treat lymphedema, in which lymphatic fluid collects in certain areas of the body because it cannot drain away effectively.
TIME TO REFRESH & REJUVENATE!!!
Practitioners of colon hydrotherapy believe there are numerous benefits to be had by removing the toxins from your digestive system. They say it can lead to better digestion, increased energy and clearer thinking.
Colon cleansing, also known as colonic irrigation or colonic hydrotherapy, involves flushing the colon with fluids to remove waste. It’s a practice that’s been around since ancient times, and the benefits are based on the premise that digestive waste can be a toxin to the body..
This is a closed system colon hydrotherapy session
An ionic foot detox is said to work by pulling the toxins out of your body through your feet.
This process is said to give the hydrogen in the water a positive charge. The positive charge is said to attract the negatively charged toxins in your body. The ions in the foot bath water supposedly hold a charge that enables them bind to any heavy metals and toxins in your body, similar to how a magnet works. This allows the toxins to be pulled out through the bottoms of your feet.
Our best value salt cave sauna just got better. In addition to ceramic heating elements, our single-person sauna now comes with LED Chromotherapy for added benefits. This gives you three healing devices in one: the infrared sauna for stress relief and detoxification; salt cave for respiratory relief’ and chromotherapy for improved sleep and reduced inflammation.
Infrared saunas are able to penetrate far deeper into the skin than traditional saunas, allowing you to sweat out more toxins, ease tired muscles and sore joints better, and help with a plethora of aches and pains.
The sauna comes complete with Himalayan Salt that transforms your sauna into a salt cave and provides life-long natural ion generation and great foot detox. Immersing yourself in this environment will help you sleep better and feel more energized.
Body wrap treatment helps you to pull out toxins, get a tighten look, reduce cellulite, eliminate dead skin, remove adipose fat tissue which will leave you the skin with a smoother and softer appearance.
A great entry point for people who are new to massage, are very tense or sensitive to touch.
Hot Stone Massage promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the placement of smooth, water-heated stones at key points on the body. The direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to deeper muscle layers.
Reflexology is best for people who are looking to relax or restore their natural energy levels. It’s also a good option if you aren’t comfortable being touched on your entire body. Reflexology uses gentle to firm pressure on different pressure points of the feet and hands.
Shiatsu massage works the whole body, but your therapist may focus on areas of your body that need extra attention. During the massage, your therapist will use their hands, palms, and thumbs to massage certain points of your body. Pulsing or rhythmic pressure is used. You can be fully clothed during this massage.
Sports massage is a good option if you have a repetitive use injury to a muscle, such as what you may get from playing a sport. It’s also a good option if you’re prone to injuries because it can be used to help prevent sports injuries.
Medical massage is primarily the application of a specific treatment targeted to the specific problem(s) the patient presents with a diagnosis and are administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation.
Hydration is often recommended before a massage as a hydrated soft muscle is easier to manage than a dehydrated rigid one. Imagine one of your muscles like a sponge. A dried sponge is hard and stiff but once it is submerged in water, it becomes supple. Our muscles are the same as a sponge, absorb water, and then become easier to manipulate with hydration.
It's wonderful to drink water after your massage because the massage therapist manipulates your muscles, releasing various substances. Drinking water after massage helps flush out materials that were built up and which have been released in the body due to massage. This is all the more relevant for deep tissue and therapeutic massage because massage activates the circulation of the body while expressing water, salt, and other minerals from the muscles. Circulation is supposed to wash away waste materials. You can help remove these waste materials by drinking water.
Massage is dehydrating. When the muscles are manipulated, all the water in those muscles is drained out. You can hydrate your muscles for the same reasons you would hydrate yourself after exercise or engaging in other strenuous activities because muscles lose water and electrolytes when they are put to work.
So, yes, drink water before and after massage because your body is using water at a faster rate, but just be sure you are drinking enough water daily. Water is integral to every function that occurs in the body, and the only way to have healthy, hydrated muscle tissue is to ensure your body gets enough.
You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.
